US Gymnastics Star Left Screaming As Hollywood Actress Reveals Daughter’s Exclusive Project

Who wouldn’t love Gabby Douglas? With three Olympic golds and doing everything for the sport, what’s not to like about her? With all those amazing achievements and that talent, she’s basically a gymnastics legend. Now, picture this: you’re scrolling through Instagram and see a post that’s so cute and creative it makes you stop in your tracks. Well, that’s exactly what Gabby recently experienced.

On March 27th, Chrissy Teigen’s daughter, Luna, took fangirling to a whole new level. This 8-year-old didn’t just talk about Gabby Douglas—she gave an entire presentation on the gymnast, complete with some seriously impressive tumbling! Chrissy, an actress and a model who was featured twice in a swimsuit on the cover of Sports Illustrated, couldn’t help but gush about her daughter on Instagram, posting photos of Luna’s incredible presentation.

She wrote, “So proud of our little toons and her biography presentation on (and as!) the incredible @gabbycvdouglas! They even made QR codes linking to stop-motion videos, I die.” How creative is that? And it gets even better—Luna didn’t just rock the presentation with her moves, she went all in with the details. Chrissy shared pictures of Luna’s setup: a book on Gabby, fliers titled “Biography of Gabby Douglas by Luna Stephens,” little gold trophies, and a QR code for those stop-motion videos Luna made.

Luna even looked the part, dressed in a Team USA gymnastics leotard and a shiny gold medal around her neck. But here’s the best part—Gabby herself saw it! Just three days later, on March 30th, she commented on Chrissy’s post, saying, “What! omg! No way! What a cutie! I’m beyond honored thank you so much! This made my day !”

Gabby Douglas’s reaction was the sweetest, and it just shows how humble and down-to-earth she is. Gabby even shared the pictures on her own story, captioning one with, “I am literally screaming btw.” Gabby truly is the real deal—both a gymnastics icon and a genuinely kind person. And this isn’t the first time she’s received such heartwarming gestures from fans!

Gymnastics legend Gabby Douglas captures hearts again

Back in 2024, Gabby Douglas became the subject of the most heartwarming and creative presentation, and it quickly went viral. A young schoolgirl, clearly a huge fan of the gymnast, shared her 3D project on Instagram, titled “The Visa Championship Gym.” Using a Nike shoe box, she set up a gymnastics scene, placing a doll in a split and even crafting gymnastics equipment from everyday items.

She proudly pointed to each piece, explaining, “This is the beam, this is the bar, and this is the foam pit, and this is Gabby Douglas.” To top it off, she printed out a book called Gabby’s World. By Olivia Malloy. Gabby herself saw the post, and, moved by the sweet gesture, she commented, “I’m extremely honored. TY. I love you,” complete with a black heart and a teary-eyed emoji.

Honestly, how adorable is that? But Gabby’s influence doesn’t stop with the next generation of fans—she’s still making waves in the gymnastics world. In fact, Gabby Douglas is a finalist for the 2025 United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee’s Hall of Fame, and she’s in some seriously impressive company. Gabby, who made history as the first African American gymnast to win individual Olympic gold in 2012, is being recognized alongside legends like Serena Williams, Sue Bird, and Allyson Felix.

Gabby’s won multiple gold medals with Team USA, including two Olympic team golds in 2012 and 2016, and even snagged a silver in the all-around at the 2015 World Championships. She’s earned her place among these incredible athletes. After a break from the gymnastics sport following the Rio 2016 Games, Gabby made her comeback in 2024, competing in events like the American Classic and U.S. Classic.

Even though she withdrew from the U.S. Championships, she’s not done yet. Gabby has her sights set on the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, “I proved to myself and to the sport that my skills remain at an elite level. My plan is to continue to train for the L.A. 2028 Olympics. It would be such an honor to represent the U.S. at a home Olympics.” Gabby’s journey is far from over, and with her talent, she’s again getting started!
