In the meantime, Serena Williams had come to visit the United’s dressing room, where a moment saw her console an emotional USWNT goalkeeper, who couldn’t stop shedding tears. But the 39 Grand Slam title holder tried to calm down the fellow American. Interestingly, this heartwarming moment was caught on camera and quickly became viral.
Of course, many might call it a classic “game-recognizes-game” moment. However, others may find it odd that Serena Williams would show support for a team that rivals her husband’s.
