After posting game-high 29 points and 10 rebounds, Josh Giddey rushed to the locker room. Tonight, the Chicago Bulls were on a roll, coming into the game against the Indiana Pacers winning two games in a row for the first time in two months. Guess who anchored it? It was Giddey. The Aussie baller was in prime touch, stepped on to the floor fresh off a triple-double. Importantly, he continued from where he left and dominated the Pacers. Unfortunately, he couldn’t finish what he started.
Around the 7th minute mark in the fourth quarter, the Bulls were comfortably ahead with a 17-point lead. Giddey brought the ball into play against the tightly knit defense of Ben Sheppard. After dancing for a bit on the perimeter, the forward hustled his way to the paint for a floater from mid air. It was a shot attempt to tie his career-high (31). Unfortunately, the shot didn’t go in and he also landed awkwardly on his right foot.
Josh Giddey immediately held on to his right ankle in pain and headed straight to the locker room, limping all his way. While he was expected to return later in the game, the team sidelined him.
This is a developing story!
