“Freshman year, that’s really where I got all of my confidence from,” Uzan said about playing for his dad. “He really put me out there. It’s fun playing for him. I don’t have to look over my shoulder or anything. I know if I make a mistake I’m going to hear it, but I know I’m going to keep playing.”
Milos’ mother, Frances Harris Uzan, keeps a lower profile, with little public information available about her. But Uzan credits his East Las Vegas roots for shaping his competitive edge. “I’m from the east side of Las Vegas. I feel like that part of town gets overlooked,” he said. That edge helped him shine early, leading Desert Pines High School to the 2020 Nevada State Championship game before transferring to Dream City Christian (Arizona) and later Prolific Prep, where he earned Grind Session MVP honors.
His high school stats speak for themselves — 15.1 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game over 55 career games (according to Max preps). Those performances made him the No. 1 prospect in Nevada and drew the attention of major programs nationwide.
