“When I check the profiles of folks who have negative things to say about my baby @breezyhalll this beautiful beacon of light… You should be ashamed. Find something to do!!! You could never” wrote Bree Hall’s mother once on X. Everyone needs that support system who can serve as a guiding light. The South Carolina Gamecocks player has always found that support in her parents. From childhood to Dawn Staley’s squad, Hall’s journey has been marked with a drive to succeed. To supply that, everyone from the star’s parents to her siblings have been with her through and through. It is the reason why Hall is today an NCAA champion, and has gone on to average 5.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.7 assists throughout 4 college seasons.
All of us have gotten to appreciate the player’s prowess whenever she steps on the court. Despite this, none of us would have taken the time to know more about the player’s family. Therefore, what better time to enlighten ourselves than now?
Who are Bree Hall’s parents? What do they do?
Bree Hall was born back in June 29th, 2003, in Dayton, Ohio, to LaShauna (Shaun) and Bryan Hall.
LaShauna Hall is a Nurse Practitioner and carries the tag of an APRN-CNP alongside her name. According to her LinkedIn profile, she is currently associated with the Kettering Health Network located in the family’s hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Unfortunately, no information is given on Bryan Hall’s current or previous profession by any reputed sources.
As mentioned above, both LaShauna and Bryan have played their part in supporting their daughter’s basketball career. LaShauna wasn’t the only one who put out the criticism towards the haters on X. Since Bree had been at the forefront of the negative buzz around the Gamecocks over the last few years, two voices were needed to shut down the bullies. Less than 12 hours after LeShauna put out the post, Bryan added to the conversation by tweeting, “To those who have things to say about my beautiful daughter. You might want to stfu! Until you can say you’ve won 4 straight SEC regular season titles. Won 3 SEC Championships. Been to 4 straight Final Fours and won 2x’s. You might want to ”. Yikes!

This was only the most recent example. During the 2023-24 season, Bree Hall was one of three returning upperclassmen for the Gamecocks. This new veteran status meant that the player would be holding a leadership — and starting — role for the first time since her senior year of high school. While Bree’s best friend and former teammate, Boston, worked with her throughout the 2022-23 season to prepare for that moment, she still reportedly struggled with self-doubt when the time came. This led to her calling her mom during the beginning of the season. After all, despite Dawn Staley being better to discuss something basketball-related, a mother is a mother.
“It’s your mom, and then it’s Coach,” said Bree. “So I would tell my mom everything. Every thought that comes to my head. Coach, I just felt like I couldn’t tell her the things that I was talking about with my mom.” However, both LaShauna and Bryan Hall encouraged their daughter to talk with Staley. After some additional coaxing from her mother, Bree finally caved. Over the next couple of months, the young player transformed to a point that her mother couldn’t help but be glad for her.
“I can look at her and just tell that she’s happy out there, that she’s comfortable,” said LaShauna Hall. “She’s found her space.”
Does Bree Hall have any siblings?
Aubryanna “Bree” Hall is not the only member of her family who is making a name for herself in the world of basketball. Her younger sister, small forward Brooklyn Hall, is currently leaving a memorable impression as a member of the Class of 2026 at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio (a suburb of Cleveland). ESPN’s recent HoopGurlz rankings for the class of 2026 had 60 players rated as 4-star prospects, or better. Along with being ranked the #55 player in the nation, Brooklyn was also on the limited list of the 4-star prospects. As highlighted by ‘Garnet & Cocky’, Brooklyn has already started to receive some major scholarship offers. Having already mentored one Hall, Dawn Staley would certainly be pleased to train another.
Brooklyn’s gameplay style sees her utilizing both her offensive and defensive skills to her best potential. On defense, she has been described to be quick, with her reportedly long arms helping her rip opponents’ handles, causing problems in passing lanes, or blocking shots in the post. Offensively, she is lauded for her jumpers, and a comfortable handle through which she can sometimes cover the shooting guard position, too.
Bree keeps catching her sister’s games from time to time, and couldn’t be prouder. Back in January 2025, Bree featured a highlight reel on her Instagram story. The same showed Brooklyn’s in-game moments. The elder sister added a caption on her story too, that read “Harddddddd sis, keep showing them!”. Both LaShauna (Shaun) and Bryan Hall also keep sharing Brooklyn’s highlights on social media. One of Bryan’s most recent posts this month saw him complementing his youngest by tweeting “Locked in just like big sis”.

What is Bree Hall’s parents’ nationality?
The nationality of LaShauna and Bryan Hall is not mentioned in the public domain. Therefore, it is safe to presume that both individuals hold an American Nationality. Then again, nothing can be confirmed without the availability of a proper source.
LaShauna and Bryan Hall have done their part to ensure both Bree and Brooklyn leave a memorable mark in the basketball world. Now, it is up to the players to make their supportive parents proud.
