She is a licensed Physician Assistant (PA-C) and also the founder of Align with Alexa, a virtual functional medicine clinic serving clients in Florida and Wisconsin. Her academic profile boasts a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, with a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro University Nevada. But, behind the academic rigor, there’s a backstory that drives her passion.
Recently, on April 1, she shared an Instagram post describing her journey. She wrote, “After struggling with my own health challenges, I discovered the power of root-cause healing, and it completely transformed my life.” And, she wants to do the same for others. While she was in PA school, Alexa struggled with health battles: cystic acne, anxiety, gut issues, fatigue, and brain fog, which left her overwhelmed. She wrote, “My appointment lasted less than five minutes, and I left with two prescriptions,” she shared.
It pushed her into functional medicine, as she penned, “Until I addressed what was going on in my mind, there was no way my body was going to feel safe enough to heal.” Alexa is certified through the Functional Nutrition Academy and is continuing her education through IFM and IIN. What’s her goal? Alexa seeks to treat patients the way she wished she’d been treated, i.e., like real people, not puzzle pieces.

When it comes to Alec and Alexa, their story is what makes us believe in love. Crossing paths during their early years in Wisconsin, they later reconnected in Las Vegas, where Alec was with the Raiders and Alexa was attending PA school. Tying knot in October 2023, Alexa wrote on her Instagram, “The best start to forever we could ask for .”
On her 26th birthday, Alec wrote, “Happy 26th birthday to my beautiful wife @alexa.ingold. I can’t thank you enough for your unconditional love, support, and determination. So excited to do life together with you.”
Both Alec and Alexa continue to share snippets of their life on social media. And, it evidently portrays how she has been crucial to his journey. At the 2024 NFL Honors, where Alec got recognition for his community service while being nominated for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, Alexa wrote, “The best night celebrating you @ai_xlv!! And after the end of the previous NFL season, she penned with pride, “Another season in the books! Always so proud of you.” Now they split time between South Florida and Wisconsin while raising two dogs together. Alexa even once remarked, “Alec is going to be a great dad.” Meanwhile, they continue to enjoy their little getaway while cherishing each moment together.
