Not many players in the country get to flex the title of a “walking double-double.” But when you’re Aneesah Morrow, you absolutely can do it. She’s one of just two players in Division I history to notch over 100 double-doubles and led the nation twice in rebounds per game. A massive feat! Now, she’s headed to the WNBA Draft after wrapping up a stellar college career. Across four seasons at DePaul and LSU, Morrow put up 2,500 points and 1,500 rebounds. Who is Camden Brown, and what is his background in football?
Camden Brown is a name that Auburn fans know well. While he wasn’t born with a silver spoon, he had a football in his hands early on. Hailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he grew up one of five siblings to parents Deionne Honeycutt and Alander Brown. Camden’s high school journey was pretty impressive. He helped St. Thomas Aquinas High School claim three consecutive Florida state titles. So, by the time he went to Auburn, he knew a thing or two about winning.
It also helps that he comes from an athletic background. His dad, a former football player at the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM), set the foundation. That athletic gene is also what he has in common with his better half. Morrow, too, comes from an athletic family. Both of her parents were standout athletes at the University of Nebraska. Her mom was an all-conference forward, dominating on the court. Meanwhile, her dad played linebacker for the Huskers.
Coming out of high school, he was a highly touted recruit, ranked among the top receivers in the 2022 class. According to 247Sports, he was a three-star prospect with offers from schools like Miami and West Virginia before committing to Auburn. The 6’3” wide receiver brought serious size and athleticism to the field for Auburn. Playing for three seasons with the team, he hauled in 26 receptions for 289 yards and three touchdowns. In 2024, Camden Brown made his presence felt with seven receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown. But injuries and a crowded depth chart meant he often flew under the radar.
Brown studied at Auburn’s College of Business, balancing academics with the grueling life of an SEC athlete. So, it is not wrong when people say he is that guy who’d stay late running routes, even after tough practices. In 2024, Brown had decided to leave the Auburn program, going to Georgia Southern through the transfer portal.

She dropped 20+ points in 17 games and pulled down 15+ rebounds in 14. She even had nine games where she went 20 and 15. One of them happened to be her incredible Sweet 16 performance against NC State, where she had 30 points and 19 rebounds! Oh, and let’s not forget about the four 20-rebound games, including two where she also poured in 20 points. Unreal. Through it all, Camden was a quiet but silent supporter of his better half.
Naturally, her incredible performances this season have put her firmly in the conversation for a Top 5 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, and rightfully so. Her game speaks for itself. But let’s be real. It’s hard to imagine this journey being as smooth without the steady support of her family and her boyfriend. Because when there are tough days, she probably just dances with him!
