Who is Jon Rahm’s Support System: Relationship with Caddie, Coach, Wife Revealed

The LIV golfer has been on a roll to winning majors alternate years since 2021. He won the US Open in 2021 and then the Masters in 2023. Now that he is featuring at the season’s first major, all eyes are on him. Besides, the expectation he has been in the spotlight with his performance at the Masters 2025. But for the fans, there is a list of people who have helped the golfer in achieving the impressive feat with his professional career. Be it from his personal or professional life. The golfer has had constant support to help him achieve the impressive feat. So, let’s get to know his wife, Caddie, and coaches better.

Jon Rahm’s wife

“Don’t get me wrong — I want to be the best golfer I can be. If I had a gun to my head and had to choose between having only one or the other, I wouldn’t pick golf … I’d choose family every time,” Jon Rahm told Golf Digest in 2019.

True to his word, Rahm later made the surprising switch to LIV Golf, a move that many saw as putting family first. But Rahm’s commitment to family isn’t a solo journey—it’s deeply intertwined with the unwavering support of his wife, Kelley Cahill. The two met at Arizona State University, where Rahm attended on a golf scholarship and Cahill was also a student. Their bond began long before the spotlight, with Rahm sharing their first photo together on Instagram back in 2016.

Cahill, who was a track and field athlete, has the same passion as Rahm for sports. Back in 2013, she recorded the career-best in javelin for ASU at the ASU Invitational. With the great bond together, the duo then engaged in 2018 and later tied a knot in December 2019.

Away from the development in his personal life, Cahill has been the constant support for Rahm at the course as well. Even Rahm has shared a sweet tribute to her for the support. He wrote, “Special mention to @cahillkelley for being a great girlfriend and supporting me all semester both on and off the course. She has watched me play more golf than my parents have in the last 4 years. Love you.” Notably, she has been spotted multiple times at the course, including the 2021 US Open, 2022 Mexican Open, and even participated in the Masters Par 3 contest.

After her comes the coach who has helped the golfer in elevating his on-course performance.

Rahm’s coach

Rahm has a diversified team, which includes his mental coach and swing coach. Joseba Del Carmen, his mental coach, has been a professional basketball player and a professional golfer, along with many other professions. But leaving all that behind, back in 2011, he began to be a coach. Before her partnership with Rahm, Carmen worked with Alaves’ soccer club, the Saski Baskonia basketball team, and many prominent names in the business segment.

For his swing training, he has partnered with Eduardo Celles and Tim Mickelson in the past. Celles was the first coach of the golfer whom Rahm met at the age of 13. Within just two years, the golfer has acknowledged his contribution for the improvement, and to date, there has been only a minor change in his swing.

Later, when he moved to America for his college years, he met Tim Mickelson, who was the playing coach. But their partnership didn’t go for long as Tim Mickelson left the university and Rahm started caddying for brother Phil Mickelson. However, despite the separation, they are still in contact.

Jon Rahm’s savior at the course

After all the support and learning, it all comes down to his game and his on-course support and mentor, i.e., his caddie Adam Hayes. The duo started working together in September 2016. At that time, the golfer was placed 126th in OWGR, and now, with two major victories and a former world number one position, is proof of their great bond on course. Hayes, who studied at the University of Central Florida, started his professional journey as a caddie at the LPGA Tour. He has previously worked with Webb Simpson, Jason Dufner, Vaughn Taylor, Ben Crane, and Russell Henley.

With such a great team and support system, the golfer has been making heads turn. But will it be similar this year, too? Can he continue his alternate-year major victory streak? What are your thoughts on it? Share with us in the comments section below.
