The Wolves are hungry, and the pack is hunting anyone who’s on their way. Make no mistake as the Minnesota Timberwolves are steam-rolling through teams right now as they are on a season-high eight-game winning streak and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Their next victim might be the Indiana Pacers, who are paying Minnesota a visit at the Target Center on Monday night. The Wolves enter this game after crushing a lowly Jazz team on Sunday, 128-102. Superstar Anthony Edwards was on fire once again, dropping a massive 41-point performance. But can they maintain the momentum or the team is fatigued and prone to injuries with back-to-back clashes?
Anthony Edwards may not wish to be the “face of the league” but his stellar performances bring him back to the limelight time and again. He marked the fourth game in a row in which Edwards was the team’s leader in scoring. Not just this! The 23-year-old also made history by becoming the third all-time highest scorer in Timberwolves history! “It’s impressive,” ANT said. “I’m not going to lie — I never knew where I was on the list. I never even knew I was top five. Yeah, that’s impressive. I was super happy when I heard it.” Well, after achieving this remarkable feat last night, there’s a question mark on whether the Minnesota star will suit up for tonight or will be rested.
Minnesota Timberwolves injury report as they eye a ninth straight win tonight
The Minnesota Timberwolves will be playing with very little rest tonight. So, it won’t be uncertain to see the Wolves HC Chris Finch looking to give a few players some much-needed break tonight. But that shouldn’t come at the cost of losing the momentum. And, yes, he wouldn’t want to get too complacent with their season-high winning streak on the line. This brings us to one question: Will Anthony Edwards their red-hot man, play tonight? Well, there’s good news awaiting the Minnesota faithful. Yes! Edwards is expected to suit up for tonight, as he’s not on the team’s injury report as of now.
The 23-year-old shooting guard enters this game after a historic night yesterday and will be looking to emulate more of that tonight. The Ant-Man is having a spectacular season averaging 27.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.6 assists. Whenever he’s on the court, the team looks energized. So, having him available for tonight will be a sigh of relief for Minnesota. More so, because he has been great against Indiana in the past. Edwards has won six times out of eight against the Pacers, and it might come as a plus for the team’s cause tonight. But what about the rest of the team?

Well, not just Anthony Edwards fans also are eager to know about the availability of Minnesota’s other star—Julius Randle. The 30-year-old forward is starting to hit his strides and has been a significant factor alongside Edwards in this recent resurgence of Minnesota. So, is he playing against Indiana? Absolutely. The veteran forward is not on the injury report indicating he’s set to play. He’s also found his footing after a shaky start to life in Minnesota. Randle is averaging 18.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists, and will try to take the average above 20, without injuries.
However, the Timberwolves aren’t at full strength even after having Edwards, Randle, and the rest of the roster healthy. They will still miss one player. Yes, Minnesota will be without veteran point guard, Mike Conley. The 37-year-old missed yesterday’s encounter against the Jazz due to resting. Now, he’s on day-to-day and the management will decide whether Conley will play before the tip-off. Overall, the Timberwolves look in great shape, with almost all of their key players fit. So, will HC Chris Finch make some changes to his starting five because of back-to-back games?
Minnesota Timberwolves predicted lineup for tonight
Head coach Chris Finch could only face one dilemma when he’s choosing tonight’s starters. And that too depends on Mike Conley’s fitness, otherwise, he should be comfortable going with the same starting lineup he’s been using. Having said that, Minnesota has a great backup for Conley—Donte DiVincenzo, who’s been solid from the bench. He’s averaging 11.6 points while shooting 41.7 percent from the field. Also, Jaden McDaniels and Rudy Gobert should retain their starting spots, and rightly so, given their tremendous form.
So, here’s how the Timberwolves can start:
Position
Starter
PG
Mike Conley (questionable)
SG
Anthony Edwards
SF
Jaden McDaniels
PF
Julius Randle
C
Rudy Gobert
Overall, it’s hard to not pick the Timberwolves as the favorites for this game. They’ve been playing some great basketball and are almost at their full strength. So, Anthony Edwards and Co. should be able to grab a win tonight against the visiting Pacers team. However, the Pacers can get an upset win on any given day with players like Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam in their ranks. So, do not miss out on the action as the underdogs would look to stop the Wolves’ run! As everyone awaits, tip-off at the Target Center in Minnesota.
