Zach Sieler, long viewed as Miami’s underappreciated anchor up front, is finally getting paid like the force he’s become. After securing back-to-back 10-sack seasons and earning captain status in the locker room, Sieler has signed a new contract extension that rockets him from overlooked to elite.
A tweet on X by the official account of the Miami Dolphins revealed, “SACK SIELER!” The new deal, announced via ESPN and confirmed by agent Drew Rosenhaus, keeps Sieler in Miami through 2029 and makes him the highest-paid defensive player on the team. The numbers? A whopping $67.75 million total value, with $44 million guaranteed and a $22.5M average annual salary, which is more than double his previous AAV.

It’s a major leap from his previous three-year, $30 million extension signed in 2023, which had placed him just 29th among NFL DTs in AAV.
